Within a quatrefoil, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh / Muḥammad rasūl Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic); two stars above; around, ‘ḍuriba bi Sīwās sana thamān thamānīn sitta miʾa’ (‘Struck in Sivas in the year 688’ in Arabic). Rev. Within a dotted circle, ‘al-ʿaẓamat lillāh / al-sulṭān al-aʿẓam / Ghiyāth al-Dunyā wa al-Dīn / Abu’l-Fatḥ Masʿūd / ibn Kay[kāwūs ibn Kaykhusraw]’ (‘Grandeur be to Allah.
